![]() ![]() Mosseri says the Take a Break feature will be tested with a handful of users, with plans to roll it out in December 2021. Mosseri has also mentioned it in a Tweet about Instagram’s decision to pause the development of an Instagram for Kids app-another controversial plan that placed then-Facebook in the line of fire. Instagram had previously shared plans to launch the feature, before Facebook became Meta, although amid some scandals that were rocking the big tech company at the time-which could possibly be the reason behind this initiative. This isn't the first time we're hearing about Take a Break. This will be an opt-in feature, and you can choose the time intervals you prefer to be notified within. Adjust the reminder frequency to the amount of time you prefer. It doesn’t stop at that as the program will also tell you the type of exercises. ![]() Apart from suggesting the time when to take a break, the program will also tell how long the break should be. Tap the Remind me to take a break toggle switch. It’s a free app that you will have to install on your PC and will let you customize to flash alerts as to when you should take microbreaks. Tap your account icon in the upper right corner of the app. This news comes from Instagram head Adam Mosseri, who made the announcement in a post on Twitter, saying the social media company is currently testing the new feature, which will remind you to step away from using the app after either 10, 20, or 30 minutes. To turn on YouTube's take a break in the Android app: Open the YouTube app. Instagram is encouraging you to take periodic breaks from the app through its new feature, "Take a Break."
